Integration Support Engineer Overview

The Integration Support Engineer will establish a new role in a growing Technology Team, helping to troubleshoot and fix software issues within our production Azure environment and/or with various 3rd-party cloud integrations. The role will be pivotal to ensure our internal teams and external guests have quick evaluation and resolution of issues. Not only will you have the opportunity to work across our entire technology stack in Azure, but you will also oversee multiple, high-impact internal and guest facing products, including rich web and mobile experiences utilizing both internal and external APIs. In turn, you will become a customer advocate to influence feature development and roadmaps owned by core development teams and moreover, you will have a major impact on ensuring an amazing experience for thousands of Stay Alfred guests.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Established background of working within a customer-facing environment, helping to triage and resolve both internal and external issues related to our software solutions.
  • Be the first line of contact on the technology team to diagnose and resolve (or in some cases escalate) production issues either by education, configuration, or programming a software solution based on finding issues in code/configuration.
  • Take point on diagnosing and resolving issues with our 3rd-party cloud integrations.
  • Opportunity to program and improve on many layers of the software stack from code, to configuration, to cloud production deployment via CI/CD.
  • Great communication and organizational skills, strong analytical reasoning, and above all, a motivation to deliver results and an eagerness to learn.   


Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or closely related technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • Solid technical/testing/development support experience
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in debugging software in C# or Java
  • Experience in tracing and resolving issues using logging and other support diagnostic tools
  • Ability to establish and maintain good 3rd-party support relationships
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies in Azure
  • Familiarity with Javascript, other languages and operating systems a plus
  • Good written and verbal English communications skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in .NET Framework/Core, ASP.NET MVC
  • Experience with Netsuite or integration with similar 3rd-party APIs a plus
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks, such as ReactJS, a plus
  • Experience with MSSQL, SQL for Azure, or similar relational database systems
  • Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence
  • Experience of working in an on-call setup is a plus
  • Exposure to working in an Agile environment is a plus
